Hello! My name is Jennifer Niles- but you can just call me Jenn :) I'm not very good at talking about myself, so my apologies in advance if this reads a bit awkward- like I don't know what I'm saying. I really don't! haha

I am a 25 year-old web & graphic designer currently living in northern Vermont. I attended school for about 6 years until life finally got the better of me and I ended up dropping out. The reasons why are not important. The only thing that matters is that I did... and I couldn't be happier. I felt like I was being suffocated while in school... I wasn't able to express myself through my schoolwork. Not because it wasn't allowed, I simply didn't know how. Not to mention, when you're in a classroom, you have to move at the pace of the teacher and the other students, not your own. So if you're more advanced than the other students, you feel bored. And if you're a slower learner, you get frustrated because it seems like the class is going too fast. Having been on both sides of the fence (depending on the courses I was taking), I decided it was time to leave. I had found a bargain I just couldn't pass up... rather than shelling out $20,000/yr. in loans to cover tuition, I found a way to teach myself everything I ever wanted to know about my field (and then some!) for only $300/yr. I will discuss how I did this with an upcoming blog post. The best thing about it, there's no other students, there's no teacher, and I can learn at my own pace. I can do one lesson a day, one lesson a month... it doesn't matter. I finally have the educational freedom I've been looking for for 6 years and I really just couldn't be happier.

For now though, I am a manager at a KFC/Taco Bell restaurant. Two restaurants under roof- talk about crazy! I have been working there for 3 years now. It's certainly not my dream job but for now, it pays the bills. I also have a cat, Tiramisu- or Sue or Bitch.. any of these works just fine. I love her to bits and pieces. she has been there with me through the worst days of my life, and the best. I don't know what I would do without her. She's the kind of cat who doesn't like anybody but me. If anybody else tries to touch, she attacks them, haha. This makes it hard to have company over, but what are you going to do? I'm certainly not about t get rid of her!

I have also had the opportunity to travel the globe. I've been everywhere from Boston, to New York City, to San Francisco to Italy (Florence, Venice, Verona, Rome, Pompeii), France (Paris, Nice), Greece (Athens, Olympia) and Monaco. I love to travel. Especially to Italy. Some day when I win the lottery, I am going to purchase a home in the Tuscan country side, overlooking a vineyard.

Well, I guess this didn't turn out as bad as I thought it was going to. Please subscribe to my blog if you haven't done so already. I love meeting new people, and sharing my discoveries, tips, tricks and secrets. If you have a blog you would like me to sucscribe to, simply let me know and I'll be sure to check out your site! <33

    About Me

    My photo
I'm rather shy at first, but once you get to know me I'm a pretty open person. I'm honest and don't believe in lying. I'm a dedicated, loyal and hard working individual, and I am just as dedicated and loyal to be lazy! haha I am also a very dedicated and loyal friend; I would do anything for my friends. I wouldn't exactly call myself an optimist, but I do try to look on the bright side of things rather than dwell on the dark side- such as things you have no control over and can't change. I'm also very independent. I prefer a night in with my cat to a night at the bar. It's not that I don't enjoy my friends' company, I'm just not a publicly social person.

    About Blog Soup...

Blog Soup is my own personal blog, very much similar to a 'work at home mom' blog. The only difference is, I'm not a mom, haha. I enjoy meeting and exchanging information with new people.. one of the many reasons I decided to start this blog. I wanted to be able to share my life with the world. Some of the things you can expect to see on blog soup are product reviews, website reviews, tips on getting the most out of your money, freebies and daily cash giveaways- my way of saying 'Thank You!' for being a loyal subscriber.
